Christopher Thompson
Director of Development
Christopher brings years of fund development experience to SADD including the development and execution of strategies used for sustainable growth and impact. As a former Executive Director for a national nonprofit organization that housed and employed developmentally disabled young adults, Christopher increased the organization’s budget by $5.2 million and successfully developed dozens of Individualized Residential Alternatives in NYC for over100 young adults. He is also the past Vice President of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Jersey, where he provided strategic planning for under-performing local branches and exceeded annual budget projections by nearly fifty percent. As a former Associate Minister, he provided leadership for the Youth, Campus, and Singles Ministries, which led to a dramatic increase in volunteer engagement and several church plantings in Africa and The Caribbean.  Through his fundraising efforts, Christopher was able to provide medical and educational support on a semi-annual basis for Ukraine, the Philippines, Guatemala, and Haiti. Christopher holds a BA in Psychology from St John’s University, New York, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Metropolitan College of New York. Chris is excited to be part of the team and is devoted to the mission of SADD. He is a firm believer in the power of human capital and believes that more can be done to equip and empower young leaders of today and tomorrow when we learn to work together, placing less emphasis on what separates us, and more on what brings us together.
